The first month of the year always marks an opportunity for transformation.
It seems like there’s been much going on, and at the same time not much has happened at all. So goes life.
Here in Los Angeles, the big news has been the wild fires. Unlike anything we’ve seen in my lifetime, our families and friends have been lucky to remain safe, and Alex and I are beyond grateful for this given the destruction we have witnessed in our beloved city.
Because of the fires, several jobs I had this month were either canceled or rescheduled—of course, understandably so.
With a bit of extra down time, I made pictures for myself instead. Below you will find a set of my favorite images I made during these few strange weeks. A highlight reel, in and outside of home.
The above images were made in 35mm and 120 formats using various cameras and film stocks. Lab developed and then digitally scanned at home.
For any specific questions, feel free to leave a comment below, or let me know which are your favorites. Thanks for looking.
